10 Reasons to Take Traffic School

Going to traffic school means that your insurance company will not find out about your traffic ticket and your rates will be unaffected. Because of this you’ll save yourself from paying hundreds or thousands of extra dollars, keep your California Good Driver discount, and more.

Reason 1: It’s Interesting and Easy

Many of our students found our course to be more interesting than they were expecting, and even felt like it would be a good refresher for any driver. Take a look at our reviews page to see what other students thought!

Reason 2: You can break it into sections

Normally traffic school takes about two hours to do from start to finish. But you can break that over a day, a week, months. You can take traffic school wherever and whenever you want.

Our course is designed to fit around your schedule. You can start and stop whenever you need to. Complete it all in one day, or do a little at a time.

Reason 3: Traffic school it 100% worth the money.

Getting a ticket is expensive but not traffic school will cost you many hundreds more over the next several years!

Taking traffic school can help you avoid points on your license, keeping your insurance costs low and allowing you to keep your license.

For only $24.95 you will save $600 to $1200 in extra insurance fees.  If you don’t believe us ask your insurance agent!

Reason 4: Reduce Your CURRENT Car Insurance Rates!

Talk to your insurance agent and ask if they offer a “defensive driving” discount.  Our course is also a defensive driving course and our certificate is good for a discount with most insurance companies.

This can be a big savings for you over the course of several years.

Reason 5: You can still challenge your ticket!

By law, a judge cannot categorically deny you traffic school simply because you exercised your right to trial.  Your court doesn’t want you to challenge your ticket so they do something tricky sending you a letter saying that you do not get automatic traffic school, they make it look like traffic school is not an option.  Simply if you do not win ask the judge for traffic school.  It is not a big deal but the court in a scary letter makes it seem like it.  Don’t let that fool you, you can take traffic school just ask for it if you see a judge.

Reason 6:  You can get in touch with customer service if you need anything

Our customer service hours are 8 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday, and 9 AM – 1 PM on Saturday and Sunday, Pacific Time. We encourage you to contact us by phone or email – we’ll be happy to help you!

Reason 7: You can do it on your last day

So you procrastinated, your dog died, husband left, house burned down, lots of things happened.  It is now your last day.

Just finish the entire course before midnight. We submit it with the date you finish the court processes it as that day.  If you finish on a Friday at 10pm and the court views your completion Monday at 8am.  They still process your completion as that Friday it was time-date stamped.  So don’t worry!

Reason 8: You can live in another state and still take traffic school

If you have a California ticket and live in another state or have moved to another state you can still take traffic school because we submit your completion electronically.  You don’t have to mail or present in person your certificate, in fact California Courts only allow electronic completions so it is not even an option to do it manually.

Reason 9: It only costs $24.95.  It is much for affordable then having a ticket on your record!

We know you paid a lot in fines but paying an additional court fee and traffic school one time saves you years of increased insurance rates.  Insurance companies are salivating right now hoping to charge you more that goes to their bottom line when they are already making billions of dollars year.  Don’t let them gouge you even more then they already do!

Reason 10: Everything you need is covered in the basic price.

You don’t need to pay an extra fees our basic course fee gives you everything needed to mask your ticket and keep your insurance rate low, keep your good driver discounts.

Who submits my completion?
Our course is licensed and regulated by the California DMV. We have special access to submit your traffic school completion electronically to your courthouse through a system designed by the DMV.
Assuming you have paid everything to the court, then the court will approve your completion. If you have not paid your fines then you need to pay the court and let us know so we can resubmit your completion to the court again. We do not charge anything to resubmit your certificate.
If I logout do you save my progress?
Yes, you can log in and log out as often as you want, and the course always saves your work, and when you log back in, you are put back to where you left off so you can continue without losing any work. There is no need to block out time to do the traffic school. You can signup today and start the course tomorrow or next week, or you can just do the course all at once. It is up to you. When you signup, you create an account and get a username and password. With this, the course saves your spot, and you can log in to your account and always continue where you last left off.
Is your course 8 hours?
The course is un-timed; most students take between 2 to 4 hours to do the course. The 8-hour figure is derived from the time it would take to read the lesson out loud… but you are reading, and reading is faster than speaking. You can typically read the course in less time. Remember that this course is all review of the information you already know. We would compare reading the course to reading the DMV driver handbook, very simple but with some multiple choice and true/false questions thrown in.
Can commercial drivers take your course?

Yes if your ticket was in a personal vehicle. 10 days after you finish your traffic school call your local DMV Office of Driver Safety because they have to take an extra step to keep it off your record.

I completed the course... what do I do now?

You can do several things.  Four days after you finish you can call your court and ask if they proccessed your completion.  You can also check the courts website, some courts post your status online.  If you call the court do so M-Th 9am to 11am.

Can I take the course before I pay my ticket?

It is best to pay your ticket first otherwise call us or email us when you do pay your ticket and we will resubmit your completion again.
